It is my great pleasure to share with you some exciting news. Today, SUNY Oswego announced the receipt of a $1 million gift from SRC Inc. to establish an endowed professor of engineering position at the college.
The SRC Endowed Professor of Engineering position will help the college attract and retain world-class faculty and will infuse additional resources for research, community outreach and new opportunities between the college and a major employer of engineering graduates in the region.
This new investment is the latest in a long-standing relationship between the college and SRC Inc., a Syracuse-based research and development company that has previously established endowed scholarships for SUNY Oswego students. SUNY Oswego also customized and delivers an MBA program on-site for SRC employees.
This gift from SRC exhibits the organization’s confidence in our engineering program —which received international accreditation in August—and shows SRC’s commitment to programmatic growth, improvement and success.
Their support is testament to our shared interest in advancing the field and educating forward-thinking engineers. The momentum for this program is building, and we expect to see even more success in the coming years. The college community is grateful for SRC’s investment, and for continuing our partnership that will propel our region and society in the future.
